Description

Astaxanthin is an antioxidant and a natural carotenoid that is found mainly in marine organisms. The astaxanthin capsules by Vivus Natura contain the premium raw material astafit®, which is also known as the "red diamond" among antioxidants.

The raw material is extracted from the freshwater microalgae Haemotocuccus pluvialis. It is extremely hardy as it can survive for years in the most difficult conditions (e.g. lack of nutrients or UV rays) by storing astaxanthin in its cells and changing its colour from green to red.

Astaxanthin has both lipophilic and hydrophilic properties. The capsules by Vivus Natura contain no allergens and are also suitable for vegans.

Recommended dose:
Take 1 capsule twice daily with sufficient liquid.
