Description

This carefully composed baking mix is perfect for quickly and easily whipping up two spelt Ciabatta loaves. The spelt sourdough mix produces a moist, delicious loaf with lots of great olive flavour. It's perfect for making any meal special.

Fresh ingredients needed:

  • 400ml water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Tips :

  • Shaping: Since the ciabatta dough is a bit sticky, we recommend flouring your hands and the surface you're working on while you shape the dough.
  • Baking: To make the ciabattas crispy, wet the baking paper with a little water, but don't wet the bread dough before baking.

Preparation:

  1. Mix 400 ml of lukewarm water (see the water line in the can) with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and add it to the baking mixture. Knead the dough for about 3 minutes
  2. Cover the mixture and let it rest in the bowl at room temperature (approx. 24 ° C) for 20 - 30 minutes.
  3. Shape the dough into a loaf or rolls,then cover and let rest at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 230 ° C (electric)
  5. Cut the dough about 2 cm deep before placing it in the oven. This creates a wonderful crust
  6. Bake at 230 ° C for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 190 ° C and bake for another 15 minutes. Remove from the baking sheet and let cool for 10 minutes before eating.
